During the enslavement of mankind by the elves during the dwarven-elvish wars, a barbarian warrior named Grummish led a successful rebellion against his masters and led thousands of slaves to freedom by cutting a bloody swath of rage and vengeance across the empire. After his death, Grummish became a god, and imbued his people with his strength and feral rage.
Today, orcs rove in marauding bands, tribes, and hordes across much of the known world. Considered brutish, violent, and unintelligent by the other races, orcs are met with violence and distrust in every quarter. This distrust has been earned by a long history of burned villages and razed cities left behind in the hordes’ trail. Because their territories frequently overlap, and clashes and exchanges between the races are common, half orc- half human hybrids are common place, and entire tribes and nations of half-breeds occasionally emerge.
